, iTEACHING CONCEPT Making/Thinking (Machendes Denken) and developing frameworks for participation, collaborations and exhibitions with artists.
Machendes Denken is grounded in the practice-based exploration of gaps and (mis)understandings in relation to artistically relevant concepts such as process and materialization, intersubjectivity (authorship, collectivity and self-expression within participatory settings) and broader contextual reflection as it relates to performance, ephemerality and artistically significant objectification of meaning, such as in painting.
A series of exercises based on research into subjectivity have been offered for developing engagement, self-critical reflection and discussion and have been implemented in various educational settings, from alternative educational contexts, to institutions of higher education both nationally and internationally as well as in local schools, both in German and English.
